ABOUT
Ploomi is touch-sensitive robot, detecting everything from the brush of a feather to the blow of a hammer -- and his emotional responses to interaction are expressed through light, sound, and vibration.
Ploomi can distinguish the location of a poke. A single poke sends a shock-wave of light from the point of touch. Consistent pressure causes that local region to glow and expand with continued pressure.
Greg helped conceptualize and build Ploomi. His contributions included character design, fabrication of 2-shot silicone body and interior mechanical structure and design of lighting motion and behavioral mapping model.
