ABOUT

Blennie is a rotund wobbling character that exhibits vestibulo-ocular reflex. His large expressive eyes are easily controlled through a GUI, where one can tune direction, vergence and dilation. Blennie’s stubby fins move up and down, and he wobbles under his own power.

Blennie was prototyped in-house. It's constructed from intersecting laser cut parts, 80-20 aluminum, vacuum formed shells and off-the-shelf electronics.

Greg helped conceptualize and build Blennie. His contributions included character design, design and fabrication of wobble and arm mechanisms as well as underlying mechanical features.
